New rules for hiring teachers

From now on, teachers will be hired for private universities, colleges and Madrasas through centrally regulated tests supervised by the government.

The education ministry on Wednesday published new rules for recruiting teachers to non-government educational institutions, revising its non-government teachers' registration and certification rules.
The ministry also uploaded the revised rules on its website on Wednesday.
Henceforth, the government will circulate the merit lists prepared on the basis of scores the candidates would secure in recruitment tests.
Non-government educational institutions will have to recruit the teachers following the lists, according to the new rules.
About the newly rules, education secretary Nazrul Islam said recruitments will be made as per new rules.
He said now non-government teachers' registration and certification authority (NTRCA) will publish a new list of those who have already passed in NTRC exams in accordance with their merit positions in the test.
The NTRCA will give a certificate for each successful applicant. The duration of validity of the certificate will be three years.
The authorities concerned will make it clear publishing further ‘circulars’, he added.
According to new rules, results of the recruitment exams will be published in 20 days after the tests are held.
Written test result will be published in 45 days and final results, including viva marks, published will be published in 30 days.
Earlier on 8 July, 2014, education minister Nurul Islam Nahid said that the government was going to form a teacher recruitment commission aiming to curb irregularities in recruitment at non-government educational institutions.
The commission such as the Public Service Commission (PSC) will appoint teachers as per demand to be placed by the educational institutions, he said at that time.
There are nearly 30,000 non-government universities, colleges and madrasas enlisted with the government for monthly pay order.
