PM releases postage stamp on Victory Day

Prime minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday released a commemorative postage stamp, a first-day cover and a data card marking the country's 47th Victory Day.

She released the commemorative postage materials -- Tk 10 stamp, Tk 10 first day cover and Tk 5 data card issued by Bangladesh Post Office -- at her official residence Ganabhaban using special cancellers, reports UNB.

State minister for posts and telecommunications Tarana Halim was present here.

The postage stamps, first day covers and data cards will be put on sale at philatelic bureau of Dhaka GPO from Saturday while these will be available in other post offices later, said officials.
