Piash Karim passes away

BRAC University professor and television talk-show speaker Piash Karim died in Dhaka today, Monday. 

His brother Jahir Karim told Prothom Alo that Piash Karim had a cardiac arrest at about 2:30am on Monday and he was taken to Square Hospital at about 4:00am where the duty doctors declared him dead.

Piash Karim's family said that his body has been kept in Square Hospital morgue. It will be kept there for Monday and Tuesday.

Decisions on burial rituals will be taken after his three sisters' return from abroad.

Bangladesh Nationalist Party chairperson and secretary general expressed deep shock at the death of Piash Karim.
