President receives his ePassport
President Abdul Hamid on Thursday received his ePassport, according to UNB.
Director general of the Department of Immigration and Passports (DIP) major general Shakil Ahmed handed over the passport to the president at Bangabhaban.
Photographs of president Abdul Hamid were taken by the DIP officials for the ePassport on 20 January.
The president also put his signature digitally on a device on the occasion.
The DIP officials also collected the iris images and fingerprint of the president for the passport.
Prime minister Sheikh Hasina launched the ePassport service at a programme at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) on 22 January.
