Two people including a minor were killed in separate incidents of snake bite in Lohagara and Kalia upazilas in Narail on Friday, reports UNB.
The deceased were identified as Samiul Molla, 13, son of Ohidul Molla of Kaldanga village in Kalia upazila and Shanto Dey, 35, son of Bishwajit Dey of Nalia village in Lohagora upazila.
Narail General Hospital officials said Samiul was playing with friends near his home in the evening when a snake bit him, immediately poisoning him.
He was rushed to the Narail General Hospital but the antidote to the poison was not available there either, forcing another shift to Khulna hospital.
On the way to Khulna Hospital, Samiul died.
Meanwhile, in Lohagora upazila Shanto was working in the kitchen when a snake bit him and he succumbed to his injuries while going to the hospital, said Naldi Union member Badsha Mia.
