Gas is being emitted from the site of a building that collapsed in a huge blast in the capital's Moghbazar area leaving 11 people dead and many others injured.
Dinomoni Sharma, deputy director at Bangladesh Fire Service and Civil Defence, confirmed Prothom Alo the development.
A unit of Fire Service led by station officer Yunus Ali is working at the spot from Sunday morning.
The incident took place in the evening of 27 June.
Earlier, managing director of Titas Gas Ali Iqbal Md Nurullah told Prothom Alo that there is no gas connection of Titas between the collapsed building and the surrounding ones.
In connection with the incident of explosion, Ramna police station in Dhaka lodged a lawsuit on 29 June.
