COVID-19 cases cross 3000 in Bangladesh

Nine more people died of coronavirus in the last 24 hours taking the toll to 110 while 434 were infected raising the number to 3382.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) made the disclosure at an online briefing on Tuesday.

According to the briefing, a total of 2,974 samples were tested in last 24 hours.

Two patients made recovery in 24 hours raising the number to 87.

A total of 2,779 samples were tested on Monday, and of them, 492 patients tested positive for coronavirus. On Monday, DGHS announced ten deaths from the virus.

Bangladesh reported first death from coronavirus on 18 March and the first case was detected in the country on 8 March.
