Chattogram depot explosion: Another fireman dies

Another fireman injured in the Chattogram depot explosion has succumbed to his injuries while being treated at a hospital in Dhaka.

It took the death tally from the accident to 47 while the number of deceased firefighters to 10.

The fireman Gausul Ajam breathed his last around 3:00 am on Sunday at Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.

The BM Container depot of Chattogram’s Sitakunda caught fire on Saturday last and it took nearly three days to bring the fire under control.

The authorities then estimated the death tally at 46 while 26 of them were identified. Besides, more than 200 people sustained burn injuries in the fire.
