Golden Monir's trial in arms case begins
A Dhaka court has framed charges against Monir Hossain alias Golden Monir in a case filed under the Arms Act on Monday, reports BSS.
Dhaka metropolitan sessions judge KM Imrul Kayesh framed charges against him and fixed 8 September for taking evidence in the case. At that time, Golden Monir claimed his innocence and expected justice from the court.

On 20 November last year, Golden Monir was arrested by Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) with arms, bullets, foreign liquor and currencies, gold ornaments and Tk 10.9 million in cash from his Merul Badda residence.
On the same day, RAB filled three cases against him under Arms Act, Narcotics Control Act and Special Powers Act.
