The online hearing system of the Land Revenue Court was inaugurated on Wednesday by land minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury, reports BSS.
“Online land service is no longer just a slogan, it is a reality. The introduction of online hearing system in the Land Revenue Court will reduce harassment and suffering as well as save time,” Saifuzzaman said at the inauguration ceremony, said an official release.
The minister further said that, “The online hearing system has been set up with the objective of building a technology based modern and sustainable land revenue judicial system keeping in view the objective of efficient, transparent, accountable and people friendly land management.”
The minister called upon all to register for paying land development tax online and hoped that soon prime minister Sheikh Hasina would officially inaugurate several more land services including online LD tax system.
Land secretary Mohammad Mostafizur Rahman PAA, presided over the function.
In his speech, the secretary said that the security of the hearing of the case would be ensured through NID number and mobile verification.
He also said that kiosk booths would be set up at various important places including shopping malls and stations across the country as per plan of the minister, said the release.
The service is being rolled out in the remaining 61 districts except Rangamati, Khagrachhari and Bandarban.
Cases like naming, submission, miscellaneous cases, settlement, record correction, objections, appeals will be included in the online hearing activities.
By visiting the online hearing management framework website, acl-dc-db.fihs.school, a citizen can request for an online hearing by providing necessary information.
