Robbery attempt foiled, suspects lynched

Two suspected robbers were beaten to death by a mob in Jagannathpur area of Nabinagar upazila of Brahmanbaria on Wednesday night, reports UNB.
The deceased were identified as Abdul Haque, a resident of Rasulabad village in Nabinagar upazila and his associate Yeasin, resident of Kajulia village.
Officer-in-Charge of Nabinagar Police Station Imtiaz Ahmed said neighbours caught the two robbers after hearing screaming of former UP member Sentu Miah’s family members when they went to rob his house on Wednesday night.
The angry mob beat the duo indiscriminately, leaving them critically injured, Imtiaz added.
Later, they were taken to Nabinagar health complex where doctor declared them dead, the OC said.
