Mirza Fakhrul, his wife test for Covid-19

BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and his wife Rahat Ara have tested positive for Covid-19. The couple is now staying at their residence in the capital’s Uttara.

A close source of Mirza Fakhrul told Prothom Alo on Tuesday.

The source said both Mirza Fakhrul and Rahat Ara are doing well. Mirza Fakhrul tested positive for coronavirus on Tuesday while his wife on Monday.

BNP chairperson's media wing member Sayrul Kabir Khan told Prothom Alo on Tuesday the secretary general’s wife contracted coronavirus. She tested positive after test on her sample was run on Monday night.

Both are now staying at home at the advice of physicians, Sayrul Kabir Khan added.
