Prothom Alo senior journalist Shawkat Hossain recovers from coronavirus

Prothom Alo special news editor Shawkat Hossain (Masum) has returned home from Mugda General Hospital after recovering from COVID-19.

Health workers of the hospital led by physician Rubina Yesmin released him with seven others on Saturday afternoon with a round of applause.

Mugda General Hospital acting director Golam Nabi Tuhin was also present there. He told newsmen there that most of the coronavirus patients can recover from the disease undergoing treatment at home. But, the patients who have breathing problems should get admitted at the hospital.

Shawkat Hossain then told the newsmen that he had received support from all the health workers of the hospital despite facing some initial trouble.

He thanked all.

The journalist was admitted to the hospital on 20 April.
