Banks to remain closed on 20 Oct

All banks will remain closed on 20 October (Wednesday) on the occasion of Eid-e-Miladunnabi, birth and death anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

Bangladesh Bank issued a circular in this regard on Thursday.

The circular sent to all bank CEOs said previously the holiday was announced for on 19 October (Tuesday).

Now the holiday has been fixed for 20 October (Wednesday) as per the decision of National Moon Sighting Committee, it added.
