Grameenphone launches defensive motorbike training for distributors' field force

Grameenphone has launched the “Defensive Motorbike Training for Distribution House Field Force” as a part of its commitment to running business operations responsibly by ensuring people safety, said a press release.

This global standard training programme aims to equip more than 2000 sales executives and supervisors with advance level riding tactics, skills, and responsible road-safety acts through 3 phases and 65 sessions, maintaining all the health safety guidelines.

The training programme was designed and developed in collaboration with BDMotorcyclist.

According to the programme plan, 1707 bikes are currently used for Grameenphone’s market operations. Nine significant regions have been marked across the country, where the training programme will be conducted till March 2023.

Syed Tanvir Husain, chief human resources officer of Grameenphone, said, “We deeply believe in running our business operations responsibly for the overall eco-system. Our field force is an integral part of our business, and we must act on to safeguard them from any associated risks while they are riding bikes.”

“As the growing number of road safety issues, accidents and loss of valuable lives concern us, we must act on building mass awareness, taking necessary actions, and equipping riders with advanced riding skills to prevent any unwanted loss. We are committed to train all of our field forces in partnership with BDMotorcyclist and look forward to even greater industry collaboration to create a safety net for all,” he added.
