Jessia Islam made it to the top 40.
The Bangladesh representative at the Miss World 2017 won the Head to Head Challenge and advanced to top 40 among 120 contestants, said Jessia on Sunday in a Facebook post.
Jessia, in the post, thanked everyone and sought blessings for the next level of the beauty pageant being held in China's Sanya.
“Thank you all. I won the Head to Head Challenge round and got selected among final 40 contestants. Keep me in your prayers,” she said in the post.
Miss Bangladesh along with other contestants participated in various activities in China including attending the 4th China International Circus Fest and the ICB (International Business Centre) Fashion Party, and more.
The grand finale of the Miss World will take place on 18 November at the Sanya City Arena in China.
The Beijing Rise is planning the two-and-a-half-hour programme with Megan Young and Steve Douglas as hosts.
Miss World- 2016, Stephanie Del Valle, will crown the new winner.
