Model-actress Sabila Nur, who recently portrayed Rabindranath Tagore’s famous character Mrinmoyee in TV play ‘Samapti’, said she had wanted to play Kadambini of ‘Jibito O Mrito’ first.
“I have gone through Rabindranath’s ‘Jibito O Mrito’ several times and wanted to play Kadambini first,” she said in a tete-e-tete with Prothom Alo.
“As I had an idea about Mrinmoyee earlier, I did not face any problem portraying the character on screen,” she added.
The role of Mrinmoyee in the single-episode TV play has two different shades; before and after her marriage. Sabila Nur said she enjoyed plying the latter.
The popular actress also said she felt nervous while shooting the play as it is one of the famous characters of Rabindranath.
“However, I overcame all my fears with the help of the director and co-artistes,” said Sabila.
“It was challenging and at the same time enjoyable,” she added talking about her role.
