Zahid Hasan and his new look
Famous actor Zahid Hasan is known for his clean-shaven looks on screen. But recently on the day of the movie Halda's premier, he appeared in public with his new salt-and-pepper bearded look.
Prothom Alo asked the actor whether this was a style for any new film or whether he had just changed his looks. Zahid Hasan smiled and told a tale.
"A man sells coarse flour, wheat flour, molasses, and many other things in a village. He makes a very small profit out of it. One day a villager asks him, hey businessman, how was your profit today? The peddler smiles and replies, you’ve called me a businessman, that is my profit."
“Everybody is asking about my new look and that is my profit,” Zahid Hasan said, concluding his tale.
When talking about the beard he said, "I have often had to shave two or three times in a day for the sake of a role. Sometimes, there was no shaving cream, only water. Now, it is time to spare my face and grow a beard".
Zahid Hasan will be seen, replete with beard, in the upcoming movie 'Sitara'. So he was experimenting how he would look with a beard before the shooting started, Zahid Hasan told Prothom Alo.
The filming of 'Sitara' will start in January or February. The story is based on the novel ‘Bhorer Proshuti’ by Abul Bashar, a popular writer from India's West Bengal. The movie, to be directed by Ashish Roy, will be released in both Bangla and Telugu.
