Shakib, Srabanti to pair up once again

Shakib Khan and Indian actress Srabanti are set to work together once again after the big hit 'Shikari' in 2016.

The Indo-Bangla joint venture film 'Shikari' ruled the box office at the time.

The duo signed for a new movie 'Bhaijaan Elo Re' directed by Joydeep Mukherjee. Another popular actress Payel Sarkar will also act in the film.

"We will start shooting the film on 3 March," said Joydeep Mukherjee.

Joydeep said the first phase of the film will be shot for a week in Kolkata. The rest will be shot in Bangladesh and the UK.

"We wish to release the film on Eid-ul-Fitr," the director added.

Both Shakib Khan and Srabanti have confirmed signing the film.

Shakib Khan, from the shooting set of 'Chittagainga Poa Noakhailla Maiya', said he would go to Kolkata on 28 February to shoot for the new film.

"The film can be a blockbuster during Eid," he added.

The actor said he has a double role in the film.

"Both the characters are different and unique. I hope viewers will like both," Shahib said.

Srabanti also talked to Prothom Alo over phone from Kolkata.

The actress said, the mahurat (inaugural) of the film would be held on Wednesday.

Shahed Ali, Rajatabha Dutta, Munira Mithu and others will also appear in the film.
