Date juice sipping birds

The extractors, locally known as Gachhi, extract delicious juice from the date tree on chilly winter morning. Different types of sweets, including cakes and molasses, are prepared using this juice.

Along with locals, several species of birds, including barbet, drongo, starling and bulbul throng around the date trees to have a sip of this delicious juice.

Recently, the scenes of sipping date juice by different bird species were pictured from Kahalu upazila in Bogura.
