In pictures: Floods inundate vast swathes of northern regions

Thousands of people are left stranded as heavy rainfalls and water from upstream submerged vast swathes of lowlands in several northern districts including Kurigram, Gaibandha, Sunamganj and Moulvibazar. Schools have been closed; shelter centers opened with people being evacuated to safe places.
