The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Wednesday announced a 15-member squad for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup’ 2020, reports UNB.
The competition will be held in Australia from 21 February to 8 March.
Salma Khatun will lead the Bangladesh team in the T20 World Cup while Rumana Ahmed was made her deputy.
Bangladesh is placed in the Group A of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup along with India, Australia, New Zealand and Sri Lanka. They will play against India on 24 February, hosts Australia on 27 February, New Zealand on 29 February and Sri Lanka on 2 March.

Salma Khatun (capt), Rumana Ahmed (vice-capt), Jahanara Alam, Shamima Sultana, Murshida Khatun Happy, Ayesha Rahman, Nigar Sultana Joyti, Sanjada Islam, Khadiza-tul-Kubra, Panna Ghosh, Farjana Haque Pinki, Nahida Akhter, Fahima Khatun, Ritu Moni and Sobhana Mostary.
Five standby players are: Shaila Sharmin, Suraiya Azmin, Lata Mondal, Puja Chakraborty and Rabeya.
A formal photo session of the Bangladesh Women’s Squad with the BCB president has been organised at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on Thursday at 3:00pm.
