Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) has received a record number of applications from aspirants willing to get government lucrative jobs through the 41st BCS examination.
BPSC examination controller Nesaruddin said that the total number of applicants in the 41st BCS exam is 475,000 and it is the highest in the history of Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) exams.
A total of 412,000 aspirants applied for the 40th BCS exam in 2018.
On 27 November 2019, the BPSC floated the circular of the 41st BCS to recruit class-I gazetted officials in government service.
As many as 2,135 aspirants will be recruited through this BCS.
Under this BCS, among other cadres, some 323 aspirant will be recruited in the admin cadre, 100 in police, and 25 in foreign service.
Besides, as many as 905 lecturers will be recruited through this BCS.
The government recruits class one gazetted officers through the BCS examination. Recently non-gazetted officers are also recruited from those who passed BCS examination.
