Friday's BCS preliminary test won't be changed: BPSC
The preliminary test for the 40th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examinations will not be deferred for severe cyclonic storm Fani and will be held on 3 May as per the schedule announced earlier.
According to Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC), the test will be held simultaneously at centres in the divisional headquarters of Dhaka, Chattogram, Rajshahi, Barishal, Khulna, Sylhet, Rangpur and Mymensingh.
Contacted, BPSC chairman Muhammad Sadique told Prothom Alo that Friday’s BCS preliminary test would not be deferred due to Fani.
"We've talked to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department officials. They have infomed us that the cyclone may hit Bangladesh Friday afternoon or Saturday. We have no plans for rescheduling the exam," he said.
The two-hour long test will be held from 10:00am to 12:00pm.
Details regarding the examinations, including exam halls and seat allocations are available on BPSC website (www.bpsc.gov.bd).
