South Asian University entrance test held in Dhaka

The Entrance test of Masters and PhD programme of South Asian University (SAU) was held on Sunday under the supervision of University Grants Commission (UGC) at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, reports UNB.

The entrance test was held simultaneously throughout the South Asian Association for Regional Co-operation (SAARC) regions at the same time and date, said press statement of UGC.

Prof Abdul Mannan, chairman of UGC, Md Khaled, secretary of UGC, Md Fakhrul Islam, joint-secretary of UGC, Pankaj Jaim, and associate prof of department of mathematics in South Asian University in New Delhi of India visited the examination centre.

South Asian University is an international university established by the governments of the eight member nations of the SAARC.

SAU started its activities from the year of 2010. The university currently functions from New Delhi in India.

About 200 Bangladeshi students participated in the examination for the admission into economics, sociology, biotechnology, applied mathematics, computer science, international relations, and legal studies.

The students, who will be qualified in the examination and get into admitted and will receive 25 thousand Rupees for PhD and 15 thousand for masters programme per month as scholarship.
