A total of 95.50 per cent students have come out successful in this year’s Primary Education Completion (PEC) and 95.96 per cent in its equivalent Ebtedayee examinations.
As many as 326,088 PEC candidates have secured highest grade, GPA-5 this year but only 11,877 Ebtedayee students received GPA-5.
Minister for primary and mass education Zakir Hossain announced the results through a press briefing at his ministry office in the capital on Tuesday.
Earlier around 10:00am, the results of (PEC), Ebtedayee, Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate were handed over to prime minister Sheikh Hasina at her official Ganabhaban residence.
The PEC and its equivalent Ebtedayee exams that started 17 November saw the participation of around 2,900,000 examinees.
