Kadamtali triple murder accused remanded for 4 days
A Dhaka court on Sunday granted a four-day remand for Mehzabin Islam Moon in a case for killing her mother, father and sister in capital’s Kadamtali.
As she was produced before the court Sunday, the investigating officer of the case, Kadamtali police station's inspector Zakir Hossain, requested to remand her for seven days for proper investigation into the case, reports BSS.
Following the hearing, Dhaka metropolitan magistrate Debabrata Biswas granted a four-day remand.
Earlier, a case was filed against Mehzabin Islam Moon and her husband Shafiqul Islam for killing Masud Rana, 50, his wife Mousumi Akhter, 45, and their daughter Jannatul, 20.
According to police, Mehjabin came to visit her mother’s house with her husband and child two days ago. She allegedly had a familial quarrel on that night and later killed them in cold blood.
During primary interrogation, she admitted killing them and then calling 999 to inform police about the murder.
On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies from Muradpur Haji Lal Mia Sarkar Road area of Kadamtali.
