Leaders and activists of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal, Jubo Dal and Swecchasebak Dal have gathered in front of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) headquarters in Naya Paltan area of the capital to participate in a protest road march towards the Indian High Commission.
This programme of the road march and a handing over a memorandum was announced in protest of the attack on Bangladesh Assistant High Commission in Agartala of India.
While visiting the spot, it was found that the leaders and activists of these three BNP associate bodies started gathering in front of the BNP headquarters in Naya Paltan area from 10:00 am in the morning today, Sunday.
From there they will march towards the Indian high commission in Baridhara area. The three organisations are jointly carrying out this programme.
There was a joint rally of Chhatra Dal, Jubo Dal and Swecchasebak Dal in Naya Paltan area of the capital on Saturday. The decision of handing over a memorandum to the Indian high commission was taken from that rally.
The leaders and activists of the three organisations have gathered on the road in front of the party headquarters in Naya Paltan.
The huge gathering of their leaders and activists has cut off vehicular movement on one side of the road from 10:00am in the morning. As the vehicular movement has been suspended on one side of the road, it has created severe traffic congestion in the surrounding areas.
The three organisations held a brief rally in front of the BNP headquarters in Naya Paltan area around 10:45 am. They started moving towards the Indian high commission after the rally.
