Ministry moves to hire staff in grades 13–16

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has taken an initiative to urgently recruit staff for vacant posts in grades 13 to 16 at health institutions across the country under the Health Services Division.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) administration wing has instructed relevant officials at all health institutions to take the necessary steps in this regard.

The directive was issued in a letter signed by Professor Jalal Uddin Mohammad Rumi, director (administration) of the DGHS, dated 20 August.

The letter said necessary initiatives had been taken to recruit 100,000 health workers to address the shortage of manpower in the health sector.

As part of the initiative, orders have been given to recruit staff for vacant posts in grades 13 to 16 at all health institutions under the Health Services Division.

It has been instructed that the vacant posts be filled promptly through promotion and direct recruitment in accordance with the Non-Medical Employees Recruitment Rules, 2018.

In addition, health institutions where recruitment notices were published and applications received for vacant posts but the recruitment process could not be completed by 10 February 2026 have been instructed to obtain fresh clearance for the vacant posts and publish new recruitment notices. The recruitment process must be completed by coordinating with the applications submitted previously.

The authorities have also been instructed to take steps to resolve recruitment-related lawsuits or administrative complications promptly. All health institutions must send information on recruitment progress to the DGHS in the prescribed format by the fifth of every month.
